2019 Invitational Mail-in Critique and Contest
Purpose
Instead of an on-campus Agricultural Communications CDE Invitational, we will have a mail-in critique and contest. This has changed in order to provide additional feedback and advice to Texas FFA members who plan to participate in the state Agricultural Communications CDE on April 27 at Texas Tech University.
This practice event is a fundraiser for the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, a student organization at Texas Tech University.
Advisor's Role
In order for your students to gain the most from this practice event, closely replicate the day of the event – stress, limited time, no professional editing or additional feedback.
Make this event as realistic as possible so the materials developed will be close to what will be produced during the actual state CDE. Your students will benefit more from receiving feedback on materials that are similar to what will be submitted in the state CDE.
What you will receive:
- detailed feedback on each practicum area entry from two agricultural communications students
- scores on each practicum area using the official rubrics
- a thorough critique of materials that will be much more detailed than is provided during the official state CDE
- a list of overall advice and tips for each practicum area
