Grading scale

On an essay, the letter grade below translates to the numerical score next to it; I will use this numerical score in computing your course grade.

A+ = 100

A = 95

A– = 92.5

A-/B+ = 90

B+ = 87.5

B = 85

B– = 82.5

B-/C+ = 80

C+ = 77.5

C = 75

C– = 72.5

C-/D+ = 70

D+ = 67.5

D = 65

D– = 62.5

F = varies according to situation.

Late work and work not turned in will earn a zero. Work turned in on time but not meeting the requirements of the assignment may earn up to a 50.
